Delete your account in the app
- Open the LexFab app, or sign in at app.lexfab.ai.
- Tap Account, then go to My account.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm and tap Delete account.
If you belong to a firm, the firm has to remove you first. The app shows an Ask firm name to remove me button for each firm. If you are the only admin of a firm, close the firm (or make someone else an admin) first.
Only want a break? Deactivate in the same place signs you out everywhere without deleting anything. Sign in again to switch your account back on.
Ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, or you want your data permanently erased, email contact@lexfab.ai from the email address on your account with the subject Delete my LexFab account. We may ask you to confirm a one-time code before we act, so that nobody else can delete your account.
What happens when you delete
- Straight away: your account is hidden, you are signed out on every device and you can no longer sign in. Your email address stays reserved, so you cannot sign up again with the same details.
- Permanent erasure: your profile, cases, hearings, tasks, notes, reminders, contacts, documents, photos, voice notes and AI conversations are removed from LexFab's database and document storage.
- Until it is permanently erased, the LexFab team can restore a deleted account if you ask.
What we keep, and why
- Firm records: anything owned by a firm stays with that firm. Notes and comments you wrote in a firm show as "Former member".
- Billing records: invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Backups: copies in disaster-recovery backups are overwritten within 90 to 180 days.
- Deletion archive: before your data is permanently erased, it is packed into one encrypted file kept in Google Cloud storage in Mumbai, India, separately from the app. Only LexFab can open it. To ask about this copy, email founder@lexfab.ai.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy (Data retention and Your rights). Questions or complaints go to our Grievance Officer at founder@lexfab.ai.
